Executive Summary
Elementza, a premier 3D education platform, required a sophisticated interface overhaul for its student dashboard. The goal was to transition from standard, text-heavy WooCommerce Membership lists to a high-end, image-driven visual hub. By implementing a custom-engineered child theme and a rigorous staging workflow, we delivered a high-performance, update-proof solution that significantly enhanced student engagement and content discoverability.

Client:
Elementza
Country:
Germany
Industry:
E-Learning / Digital Education / 3D Design
Core Objective:
To replace legacy WooCommerce tables with a responsive, visual dashboard.
The Challenge: From Static Lists to Visual Learning
The default WooCommerce “My Account” area often feels like a utility rather than an experience. For a design-centric brand like Elementza, the standard text-based membership table was a bottleneck for user experience.
The primary challenges included:
UI Constraints
Purchased courses were buried in a list format, making it difficult for students to quickly identify and resume their training.
Technical Fragility
The client needed a solution that would not break during core theme or plugin updates.
Inconsistent Data
Some memberships lacked associated product images, requiring a smart fallback system to maintain visual symmetry.
Our Strategic Solution
1
Custom UI Engineering
We bypassed the rigid default templates to build a 6-column responsive grid. Each membership “card” was meticulously styled with:
4:3 Aspect Ratio Images: Ensuring a professional browsing experience.
Dynamic Metadata: Expiry dates and action buttons (View/Cancel) were repositioned for maximum clarity
Accent Hover Effects: Interactive UI feedback using brand-specific color overlays.
2
Update-Proof Architecture
To ensure longevity, we developed a bespoke Child Theme specifically for The7.
We isolated all custom logic into a dedicated directory. This approach ensures that Mario can update his parent theme and WooCommerce plugins without losing a single pixel of our custom work.
3
Secure Staging & Deployment
Due to server constraints on the live environment, we migrated the site to a private WP Engine staging server. This allowed us to:
Identify and resolve CSS conflicts that were affecting the site’s global login styles.
Audit the existing functions.php to consolidate legacy code into the new child theme.
Execute a zero-downtime live migration after a full SiteGround backup.
The Result
The final deployment transformed the “Members Area” into a premium dashboard that matches the high quality of Elementza’s 3D training.
This project serves as a prime example of how a “simple” design request can be handled with high-level engineering. By using a Child Theme and Staging-to-Live migration, the team didn’t just give Mario a prettier page—they gave him a robust, update-proof system that scales with his growing business.

Yes, that’s it… perfect. Thank you for the updates and very responsive work.
MARIO B., ELEMENTZA
