Building a Mobile-Friendly Website Under Tight Deadlines

Background and Challenges

Combi Engineering, an engineering firm, needed a modern, mobile-friendly website with blogging functionality. However, the previous developer failed to deliver any results after several months, leaving the project behind schedule. With time running out, they needed a fast and effective solution.
While a desktop design was available, there was no dedicated mobile version. This meant we had to ensure a smooth and responsive mobile experience while improvising where necessary.

Approach

Given the urgency, we knew WordPress was the right platform. We considered two options for building the site: Elementor or native WordPress Blocks (Gutenberg). In the end, we chose Elementor because:
Speed matters: Elementor’s drag-and-drop builder allowed us to work quickly and efficiently, which was crucial given the tight deadline.
Design compatibility: The existing desktop design was easier to replicate with Elementor, making it the best choice for maintaining consistency.

Results

Despite the challenging circumstances, we delivered a fully functional, mobile-friendly website within six weeks, exactly as promised. The site was approved and launched on schedule, giving Combi Engineering a professional online presence without further delays.

By making smart choices and prioritizing efficiency, we turned a stalled project into a successful launch — proving that the right approach can make all the difference.
